"when I do good, I feel good. when I do bad, I feel bad. that's my religion." -abraham lincoln
Actor/comedian Richard Ayoade’s directorial debut SUBMARINE has been awarded a high-profile US summer release date of June 3, 2011, Box Office Mojo has reported.
SUBMARINE will open against 20th Century Fox’s mutant prequel X-MEN: FIRST CLASS and Focus Feature’s comedy-drama BEGINNERS, where it will hopefully find the adorning audience its distinctly British style so rightly deserves.
The Weinstein Company acquired the North American distribution rights for the Ben Stiller-produced coming-of-age indie-comedy at the 35th annual Toronto International Film Festival late last year.
SUBMARINE, adapted from the 2008 novel by Joe Dunthorne, stars Craig Roberts as Oliver Tate, a 15-year-old boy with two objectives: to lose his virginity before his next birthday, and to stop his mother, Jill (Noah Taylor)l, from leaving his father, Lloyd (Noah Taylor), for her liberated dance teacher, Graham (Paddy Considine).
